What is a Precinct Delegate?

A precinct delegate is an elected local representative of the Democratic party tasked with reaching out to the Democratic members in your neighborhood to mobilize voters and advocate for our values. All registered voters qualify to be precinct delegates. Precinct delegates are elected in the August primary election, in even years. They serve a 2-year term, and there are no term limits.

As a Democratic precinct delegate, you will:

  • Be the Voice of Your Community: You'll serve as a direct link between the Northville Democratic Club leadership and the residents of your precinct. By listening to the concerns and priorities of your neighbors, you'll ensure that their voices are heard.

  • Mobilize Voters: You'll lead voter education and mobilization efforts, ensuring that every eligible voter in your precinct is informed and engaged. By knocking on doors, making phone calls, and dropping literature, you'll help drive voter turnout and secure Democratic victories.

  • Advocate for Democratic Policies: You'll be an advocate for our policies and values, fighting for issues like reproductive freedom, healthcare reform, environmental protection, social justice, and economic equality. Your grassroots organizing efforts will help advance our shared vision for a more just and equitable society.

Now, more than ever, the role of Democratic precinct delegates is urgent and indispensable. With the stakes higher than ever and our democracy under threat, we need passionate and committed individuals like you to join the frontlines and help lead us to victory.

Will you answer the call and become a Democratic precinct delegate today?
